Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an OttoBiz account or connecting a channel to OttoBiz, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

OttoBiz provides software that automates customer conversations, payment verification, order management, invoicing, and related commerce workflows on connected social channels. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature you depend on.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.
• You agree to provide accurate business information and to keep it current.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use OttoBiz to send spam, harass, defraud, or otherwise harm any person or business.
• Sell goods or services that are illegal where you or your customers are located.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls.
• Use the service in a way that violates the terms of any connected third party (Meta, payment processors, logistics partners).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, especially where third-party platforms require it of us.

5. Connected channels and integrations

When you connect a third-party service (WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Paystack, Flutterwave, a logistics provider, etc.), you authorise OttoBiz to act on your behalf within the scope of that integration. You remain responsible for your relationship with the third party and for any fees they charge you directly.

6. Customer data and your role as controller

For the messages and customer data you process through OttoBiz, you are the data controller and OttoBiz is the processor acting on your documented instructions. You confirm that you have the legal basis to share end-customer data with us for these purposes.

7. Fees

OttoBiz may offer free and paid tiers. Pricing, billing cycle, and included usage are shown in the app at the time you subscribe. Taxes may be added where required. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

8. Termination

You can stop using OttoBiz at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continuing to provide service to you would expose us to legal or platform-policy risk.

On termination we will purge your data per our Data Deletion policy, subject to legal retention requirements.

9. AI output

OttoBiz uses AI agents to compose replies, classify messages, and take actions on your behalf. AI output can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing, configuring, and where necessary correcting agent behaviour. We provide handoff and override controls for this purpose.

10. Disclaimers

OttoBiz is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the service will detect every fraudulent payment, fraudulent customer, or stockout.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OttoBiz's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. For material changes affecting paid features we will give notice by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts.
